Greymouth goes Smokefree

Congratulations to Greymouth and the team that worked hard to get the council to show this leadership. Soon smoking will be somethng of the past!

The Smokefree Coalition has been given the green light to erect toothless ‘no smoking’ signs throughout the Grey district.
The Grey District Council is apparently one of the last two in the South Island to have not declared public places smokefree. Currently the only non-smoking area in the district is near the children’s playground at Dixon Park, in Greymouth. Click here to read more
